What Is the Best Song Released in the Last Fifteen Years?
According to a list assembled by British music magazine NME of the top 150 songs from the last decade and a half, the best song of the modern era is Radiohead’s “Paranoid Android” (terrible music video I know. It’s friggin fourteen years old).
Personally, I think “Bittersweet Symphony” should replace The Killers in the top 5, Hot Chip should be no where near the top 20 and The Libertines should have a different song featured. Besides that, not too shabby. Here’s the top 20 (read the rest here):
1. Radiohead – ‘Paranoid Android’
2. Arcade Fire – ‘Rebellion (Lies)’
3. Outkast – ‘Hey Ya!’
4. The Strokes – ‘Last Nite’
5. The Killers – ‘Mr. Brightside’
6. The White Stripes – ‘Fell In Love With A Girl’
9. The Verve – ‘Bittersweet Symphony’
10. The Libertines – ‘Time For Heroes’
11. Arctic Monkeys – ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’
12. MGMT – ‘Time To Pretend’
13. Jay –Z & Alicia Keys – ‘Empire State Of Mind’
16. Beyoncé – ‘Crazy In Love’
17. Missy Elliot – ‘Get Ur Freak On’
18. Queens Of The Stone Age – ‘No One Knows’
19. Justice Vs. Simian – ‘We Are Your Friends’
